Amarilis Flores Flores, Senior Associate

Consultant with over 35 years of experience in community development, strategic planning, financial management, and accounting for nonprofit organizations. In recent years, she has consulted with organizations on business planning, evaluation, and capacity building in accounting. She has worked in social program design and evaluation, economic development, self-management, civic competencies, and funding proposal writing. She has extensive experience in accounting, including budgeting, payroll, financial reporting, and auditing. As Fiscal Coordinator at Proyecto Matria (2010-2013), she managed funds and supervised accounting processes. She was Director of Community Development for the Municipality of San Juan (2013-2017) and Executive Director of the Asociación de Corporaciones Especiales Propiedad de Trabajadores (2001-2005), where she supported the development of community enterprises and worker-owned models. Additionally, she ran her own business for seven years, managing planning, marketing, and operations. She has conducted research on worker-owned businesses and technology transfer to community organizations. She holds a Master's Degree in Community Social Psychology and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico.
